MULTILAYER REFLECTOR FOR DETECTOR OF CT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer reflector for detectors of computerized tomography (CT). SOLUTION: The reflector contains an X-ray absorption constituent element 86 inserted between a pair of high reflective constituent elements 88. In order to maintain comparatively high optical outputs for signal detection in addition to reducing cross talk between adjacent scintillators 57, such a multilayer reflector is formed between adjacent scintillators 57 of the CT detector. Moreover, the multilayer reflectors are arranged over whole scintillator array 56 one- or two-dimensionally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
