PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economize power consumption, improve the ground around the pile and furthermore reduce a discharging amount of excavated soil in the immersion method for the pile in the ground by inserting an auger drill into the pile and excavating by the auger drill. SOLUTION: The cutter plate 30 having a diameter larger than an outside diameter of the pile 10 and equipped with a plurality of notches on the circumference thereof and an excavation cutter on the lower surface is mounted to the lower end of the auger drill 20, the pile 10 is immersed while rotating the auger drill 20 by making the lower end of the pile 10 and the cutter plate 29 approach each other in the soft ground, the auger drill 20 is made to advance below from the lower end of the pile to excavate in the hard ground, the pile 10 is immersed while consolidating the excavated soil in the pile 10 through the notches of the cutter plate 30, and after the lower end of the pile 10 has arrived at a bearing layer, a bulb is formed in the bearing layer by the auger drill 20 and the cutter plate 30, and the auger drill 20 is reversed to leave the cutter plate 30 in the bulb to pull up the auger drill 20.
