PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which solves the problem that loud sound is played continuously although a game is not played on a game board because a player goes away from the game board, and that loud sound is played continuously when awarded medals are transferred to a medal bank although the game is not played. SOLUTION: If less than 30 seconds have passed since the start timing of a last game, the volume of a game sound is maximized (step 173). Next, if less than 60 seconds have passed since the start timing of the last game, the volume of the game sound is lowered one step (step 175). Next, if less than 90 seconds have passed since the start timing of the last game, the volume of the game sound is lowered one more step (step 177). If not less than 90 seconds have passed, the game sound is silenced (step 178).
