PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a hair dryer silent by eliminating influence which a rectifying blade receives from an outer force and preventing the generation of a noise due to per fan. SOLUTION: A hair dryer 1 blows hot or cold wind by arranging a blow block 4, which includes: a fan 9; a motor 11 for driving the fan 9; and the rectifying blade 6 holding the motor 11 and rectifying an air flow, a heater block 3 for heating the wind supplied from the blow block 4, and a power source switch 5, inside a main body housing 2 to be commonly used as a grip, so as to be aligned in the lengthwise direction D of the main body housing 2. A space part 7 for preventing the main body housing 2 from allowing the outer peripheral part 6a of the rectifying blade 6 to be deformed by receiving the outer force P is provided between the inner surface part of the main body housing 2 and the outer peripheral part of the rectifying blade 6.
