PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which emits exhaust with fewer allergenic substances. SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner is equipped with a fan motor (a suction means) 8 for sucking air containing dust and a dust collection filter (a dust collecting means) 9 which separates the dust and collects the dust, and at least the dust collection filter 9 has an inactivating material for inactivating the allergenic substances. As a result, the hygienic vacuum cleaner which inactivates the allergenic substances at the dust collection filter 9, inactivates the allergens easily and efficiently, and reduces the amount of the allergens in the exhaust is provided.
