PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for a vehicle capable of reducing looking aside of a driver, and preventing the driver from mistaking a route guided by the navigation. SOLUTION: This navigation system has a vehicle detection means for detecting the present position of the vehicle, a map information storing means for storing three-dimensional map information, a three-dimensional map information calculation means for calculating three-dimensional map information so that the vehicle position detected by the vehicle detection means agrees with a road in front of the driver's seat watched by the driver based on the position of driver's eyes, a route guide means for showing a recommended route to the set destination to the driver and guiding the vehicle to the destination, and a display means for displaying the recommended route on a vehicle front glass viewably in piles on the road in front of the driver's seat by the driver based on the three-dimensional map information.
