PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting more fitted knitted trousers, which has a beautiful appearance in wearing. SOLUTION: The method for knitting knitted trousers by using a flat knitting machine comprises starting knitting from either a right or left rise part and either a right or left side part of a leg part and completing knitting at the other rise part and the other side part of the leg part. The following processes are carrying out in such a way that the length from the side part of a front knitted fabric part to a crotch part is made shorter than that from the side part of a rear knitted fabric part to the crotch part. Namely, the processes are a first process for connecting one rise part to the side part of the leg part and knitting, a second process for knitting one rise part and the front knitted fabric part of the leg part and knitting one rise part and the rear knitted fabric part of the leg part, a third process for connecting a connection part at the inside of an inseam of one leg part and carrying out stitch-laying treatment, a fourth process for connecting a connection part at the inside of an inseam of the other leg part and knitting, a fifth process for knitting the other rise part and the front knitted fabric part of the leg part and knitting the other rise part and the rear knitted fabric part of the leg part and a sixth process for connecting the other rise part to the side part of the leg part and carrying out stitch-laying treatment.
