STAPLER EQUIPPED WITH STAPLE LEG CUTTING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clinch staple legs so that the leading ends of the staple legs are brought into contact with the surface of binding paper without lowering the staple binding quality caused by the burr formed when the staple legs are cut. SOLUTION: A staple leg cutting mechanism 5 is constituted of a fixed cutter 6 arranged between the staple legs S1 piercing through binding paper and a pair of movable cutters 7 arranged so as to be operated from the outside of the staple legs S1 to the inside thereof while a clincher mechanism 10 is constituted of a pair of the movable clinchers 11 respectively arranged on the undersurface side of a pair of the movable cutters 7 to curve and mold the staple legs S1 piercing through the binding paper toward the inside by the movable clinchers 11 to guide them to the gap between the movable cutters 7 and the fixed cutter 6. The movable cutter 7 is operated from the outside of the staple legs S1 to the inside thereof to cut the leading end parts of the staple legs S1 and the staple legs S1 are bent along the binding paper by the movable clinchers 11.
