PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of accomplishing trade-off of printing speed and printing quality with good productivity. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer has a print head (2), a medium transferring means (6) feeding a recording medium to the print head and transferring the recoding medium at the print head, a head driving means (4) having the print head to discharge ink, a speed setting means (18) setting the printing speed, and a controlling means (8) determining a transferring speed of the recording medium at the print head based on the set printing speed, making the medium transferring means to transfer the recording medium at this transferring speed, and applying a corresponding new transferring speed on and after the next page when the set speed is changed by the speed setting means during printing.
