PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water reserving unit for planting equipment ensuring water retainability while provided with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The water reserving unit has the following structure: a waterproof layer 12 is provided on the surface of a sloped building frame 11 such as a building rooftop; long dams 13 are joined to the waterproof layer 12 via hot-air fusion to be integrated with each other; space for reserving water permeated through a soil layer 14 between the dams 13, and rainwater or irrigation water is reserved in the space to form reserved water 16.
