The equipment has a diaphragm (6) fixed inside a tubular shell (3) or an exhaust funnel. The diaphragm is coupled with a catalyst body (4) such that a support mat (5) is protected from a volume of material formed by the funnel. The diaphragm is implemented in the form of a lock washer, whose outer edge lies inside the funnel/shell and inner edge lies at the body concisely along a lateral outer circumference of the diaphragm.
