<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable ("LC cable") restricted in flammability which can satisfy requirements of restricted flammability defined in NFPA90A standards (standards concerning the equipment of air conditioning and ventilation system). <P>SOLUTION: This is a polyvinylidene fluoride and/or its copolymer ("PVDF") containing LC cable and contains PVDF of about 50 wt% or less against the weight of the cable. These cables generally have a restricted oxygen index ("LOI") of about 40-90, preferably, 43-75. In a preferable concrete case, at least one kind of LC cable component is made of a flame inhibitor or a smoke inhibitor of about 0.02-2.0 wt% against the PVDF weight, for example, one of tungstate, molybdate, and silicate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
