摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method of an uplink pilot signal wherein a code and an orthogonal code having excellent correlation characteristics are inserted in each time domain and frequency region to support timing synchronization and channel estimation simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: A channel estimation method in a radio communication system is provided wherein a plurality of mobile stations and one base station communicate with each other based on multiple carriers. The pilot signal, which is so designed that the reactions of the time domain and the frequency domain have fixed configuration simultaneously, is transmitted by each mobile station to the base station.
