PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax complexity by reducing user's volume adjustment operation required caused by the difference in the volume of a sound source, when the sound source is switched. SOLUTION: The acoustic device comprises a plurality of sound sources A, B, ..., X, a volume adjusting means 14 for reproducing sound, a characteristic storage means 22 for storing a plurality of volume change characteristics for controlling the volume adjusting means 14 according to a volume setting position by user's operation, a reproduction information storage means 24 for storing volume change characteristics selected when reproducing a recording medium and information related to the recording medium, and a control means 20 for controlling the volume adjusting means 14 by using the corresponding volume change characteristics when the recording medium stored in the reproduction information storage means 24 is reproduced.
