PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device for displaying the dictionary information of electronic dictionary data by a simple operation by associating it with dates. SOLUTION: When a dictionary is selected by a user, and a "today" key installed in an input part 12 is depressed, a CPU 101 refers to the storage area of the selected object dictionary of a dictionary storage part 104, and decides whether or not index data are stored. When the index data are stored, the CPU 101 acquires the current date from a clock part 105, and acquires the address of the storage area of the dictionary information corresponding to the acquired date based on index data.
