PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrival method for a shield machine for quickly and economically performing water discharge treatment without installing a drain facility on an arrival shaft side. SOLUTION: The arrival method of the shield machine installs a pipe 7 having a check valve 17 in the neighborhood of an upper end in a shaft 3 for arrival, and installs fluidization treatment earth 21 for holding an attitude of the shield machine 25 after installing a shield machine stopper 11, and water 23 is stored thereon. Next, the shield machine 25 is excavated down to the inside of the shaft 3 to cut the surface of the pipe 7 with a cutter of a face plate 39. The water 23 in the shaft 3 is flowed in the shield machine 25 through the check valve 17 and the pipe 7, discharged rearward of the shield machine 25, and treated with a muddy water treatment facility used during excavation. Furthermore, the fluidization treatment earth 21 in the shaft 3, the pipe 7 and the shield machine stopper 11 are removed, and a part or the whole of the shield machine 25 is collected from the shaft 3 on ground.
