PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for liquid, capable of readily collecting the liquid leaked from an inner tank into a space. SOLUTION: The underground installed container for liquid, which stores the liquid (4) in a double-structure inner tank provided with an inner tank (2) and an outer tank (3) via a space (1), has a device (6) for collecting the liquid (5) leaked into the space from the inner tank, in which the device (6) is a steam ejector or a pump, the inner tank (2) is made of a metal, the outer tank (3) is made of a concrete and the ceiling part of the inner tank (2) is opened to the atmosphere.
