PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device for an on-vehicle display device, in which the on-vehicle display device can be mounted on an upper surface of a dashboard or a glove box without being an obstacle to steering or operation of audio devices, and in which the direction of the on-vehicle display device can be easily adjusted. SOLUTION: This mounting device 10 for an on-vehicle display device is installed close to a windshield to suspend the on-vehicle display device M to be held at a prescribed position in a car. It is provided with a base 14 comprising short shafts 20 raised from it, a horizontal arm 24 journalled to the shaft to be rotatable around its axis through a hinge part 30, a pair of connection plates 26 connected to both end parts of the length of the horizontal arm 24 to be capable of oscillating through a hinge part 40, and a display device suspending part 18 provided between the tip parts of the connection plate to be capable of oscillating through a hinge part 64. By thus actuating the three hinge parts 30, 40, and 64, the direction of the display device suspending part 18 can be adjusted in any direction. The mounting device can thus be fixed close to the windshield to suspend the on-vehicle display device M without being an obstacle to steering or operation of audio devices. Since all the hinge parts 30, 40, and 64 can be freely stopped, the direction of the on-vehicle display device M can be easily changed in any direction to be fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
