Specified polysiloxane block copolymers containing SiH groups are new, as are also derivatives containing oxyalkyl groups obtained by dehydrogenative condensation or hydrosilylation of the SiH group-containing block copolymers. A polysiloxane block copolymer of formula (V) is new. [Image] R1> - R5>optionally unsaturated 1-20 (especially 1-10)C alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl, 1-20C haloalkyl, siloxy or triorganosiloxy; Z1triorganosilyl; m and n : 5-300; o : 2-300, with n + o =400; and p : 2-50. Independent claims are also included for (i) preparation of the block copolymer (V) and (ii) reaction products of formula (V) with the H atoms replaced by -OAlk groups. Alk : the residue of the alcohol used in the preparation and/or a group of formula -CH2CH2-(CH2)a-A or -CH:CH-(CH2)a-A; a : 0-10; and A : polyoxyalkylene or 1-100 (especially 1-50)C linear, branched or cyclic, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl optionally containing heteroatoms.
