The device has a connecting unit (30) detachably connected with an adjustable guide (12) of a track switch. The guide is swiveled backward/forward and a self locking nut (32) is screwed/unscrewed to/from an end of detector rod (20) for installing/detaching the connecting unit to/from the detector rod. The connecting unit exhibits a ball and socket joint bearing to adjust a temperature dependent length variation of the adjustable guide.
