<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium, stably and at a low cost, which shows advantages such as successful curling, excellent ink absorbency so as to achieve rapid recording, together with a dye and a pigmented ink featuring a perfect roundness of dots, high glossiness/transparency and extremely high image uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, the inkjet recording medium is composed of a base; a first coating layer with at least one peak of a pore diameter distribution curve present in the range of 0.1 to 10 μm, formed on the base; and a second coating layer with a peak of the pore diameter distribution curve present substantially in the range of 0.06 μm or less, formed on the first coating layer. Further, for the second coating layer, a coating material is thickened or crosslinked simultaneously with the coating process of the coating layer or in the way of drying the formed coating layer and before the coating layer shows a decreasing drying rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
