<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply conduct positioning with respect to an optical element and to easily change a connecting point when a multiple optical waveguide fiber that is constituted by a plurality of optical fibers (optical waveguides) is to be connected to a housing (a substrate). <P>SOLUTION: Projected parts 73 and 75 are formed on a housing 70 and recessed parts 72 and 74 formed on an optical waveguide 50 are engaged into the projected parts 73 and 75. Moreover, a positioning section 84 is formed on the housing 70 and a light emitting element 86 is positioned to the projected part 73 by the positioning section 84. Thus, only by positioning and mounting the light emitting element 86 to the positioning section 84 and by engaging and connecting the recessed part 72 of the optical waveguide 50 to the projected parts 73 and 75 of the housing 70, the optical axis of the light emitting element 86 and the optical axis of an optical waveguide core 66 of the optical waveguide 50 are aligned with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
