<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine mounting device of an onboard driver travelling type working machine capable of continuously executing work for a long time by increasing the capacity of a fuel tank of the onboard driver travelling type working machine, for solving the problem that the capacity of the fuel tank is limited to be small though the mounting height of the engine can be lowered, in the on-board driver traveling type working machine having the fuel tank arranged on the side of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine mounting device is configured such that the fuel tank 4 having a hook-like shape is provided so as to surround one side of the engine 3 mounted on the rear side of an operator's seat 1 on the rear end portion of a machine body 2, an engine muffler 6 is arranged on the other side portion 5 of the engine 3 by opening that portion, and a cover 7 for covering the upper side of the engine 3 and the fuel tank 4 is provided. Because the fuel tank 4 is formed so as to have the hook-like shape over the range from one side portion of the engine 3 to its rear side portion, its capacity is large. As a result, a continuous operation of the engine 3 is possible for a long time.
