<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new erythromycin derivative having a strong antimicrobial activity as a macrolide antibiotic and effective against various bacteria including erythromycin-resistant bacteria. <P>SOLUTION: A compound is represented by formula (1) äwherein, Mes are each a methyl; R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen or a lower alkyl; the wavy line is an optional configuration; R<SP>a</SP>and R<SP>b</SP>are each independently hydrogen or together may form O=C; m is 0 or 1; X is an NR<SP>2</SP>-CO, a CO-NR<SP>2</SP>, an SO<SB>2</SB>-NR<SP>2</SP>, an NR<SP>2</SP>-SO<SB>2</SB>(wherein, R<SP>2</SP>is a lower alkyl which may be substituted) or an O-CO; Y is a single bond or (1) an alkylene, (2) an alkenylene, (3) an alkynylene or (4) a cycloalkylene in which each may be substituted or a heteroatom may be bound or interposed; and Ar denotes a carbocyclic group which may be substituted or a heterocyclic group which may be substituted}. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
