PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for a liquid crystal display element which exhibits satisfactory curing properties even if the surface part etc. of the sealant is exposed to air when the sealant is cured by irradiation with light in manufacture of the liquid crystal display element, has excellent adhesiveness and water resistance, generates no liquid crystal display defect and has excellent reliability, to provide a vertical conductive material and to provide the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The sealant for the liquid crystal display element contains a curable resin having a (meth)acrylate group, a compound having a tertiary amine structure, and photo radical polymerization initiator.
