PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device in which the adjustment of registration is required only one time. SOLUTION: The mirror scan system image reading device includes: a first running body 4 having a first mirror 11 that reflects light emitted to the image side of a document so that the light is directed parallel to the image side; and a second running body 5 having a second mirror and a third mirror for reflecting light reflected by the first mirror 11 of the first running body 4 so that the light is further reflected to a CCD 15. In the image reading device, an amount of displacement of the right angle of the second running body 5 is inputted, and the position of a scan line during the use of an automatic document feeder is set.
