PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape measure equipped with power generation function which is designed so as to supply external devices used in measuring works with electric power by utilizing rotation of a rotary drum. SOLUTION: This tape measure is provided with the rorary drum 8, on which a tape 11 is circumferentially wound, axially supported by a shaft 7 stood in a case 1, and a coil spring 12 urging the tape 11 on this rotary drum 8 in the roll-in direction. It is provided with a power generator consisting of at least a magnet 9 and a coil 10, either the magnet 9 or the coil 10 being rotated with the rotation of the rotary drum 8, thereby making the coil 10 generate power.
