PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained release once daily oral medicinal composition of tramadol or its salt, having a central analgesic activity. SOLUTION: This sustained release once daily oral medicinal composition of tramadol or its salt can provide at least the same good clinical effect over 24 hrs to that of the sustained release twice daily oral medicinal composition of tramadol administered twice daily separated by 12 hrs, without having adverse effects (giddiness, nausea, vomiting, headache, weakness, etc.) by taking it orally.
