PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like article by carrying an oily composition containing a solid oil which is kept in a solid state at normal temperature and melted at≥50°C in a layer state on the surface of a sheet-like base without permeating the oily composition into the interior so as to bring about portability and convenience on use and obtain sufficient cleansing effect by disintegrating and liquefying the oily composition solidified when wiped and absorbing and incorporating the liquefied composition into the sheet-like base together with a substance to be wiped. SOLUTION: The article for wiping is obtained by solidifying the oily composition containing the solid oil which is kept in a solid state at a normal temperature and melted at≥50°C in a layered state. The sheet-like base is preferably hydrophilized and comprises the solid oil and a liquid oil as components for oily composition.
