PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having excellent usability by eliminating wasteful operations when paper is extracted from a finisher before the paper is treated by the finisher. SOLUTION: In this image forming device 1, the paper P image-formed based on image data is carried, in order, to the finisher, the finisher 20 places, in order, the paper P carried in order at a staple position 23, and when the number of the paper reaches a treatable one, performs a staple treatment for the bundle of the paper P, and discharges the paper onto a discharge tray 22. Even if the paper P at he staple position 23 is absent before the staple treatment, the finisher does not recognize it as the occurrence of paper jamming.
