The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing panels of lamellar mineral wool, for use as sound, thermal and fireproof insulation of external walls of buildings, as well as ceilings of garages over which heated rooms are located. In the invention elements are bonded together using a hot melt adhesive. Preferably the elements are formed by cutting a web of mineral fibre, preferably of high thickness such as about 20 cm, transversely, rotating the elements by 90° and bonding them at their largest surfaces. Preferably the hot melt and adhesive is a polyolefin-based hot melt adhesive having melting point about 100°C and viscosity at 170°C of from 2600 to 3000 mPa.s.
|
