Security lock system has additional edge pattern on side of key with additional raised profile for lateral locking catch

A security locking system has a conventional key with upper edge profile (103) and side edge profile (104) to operate on two sets of vertical sprung fingers. The system is extended by at least one additional raised profile (121) which increases the number of possible lock combinations by operating an a lateral catch. The raised profile is flanked by sloping edges to facilitate easy key insertion and removal.
