<p>The invention relates to an automatic device for the handling and transport of printing sleeves. The inventive device comprises a mobile base unit (10) which can move along a first axis (X) and at least one handling unit (30) which is mounted to the mobile base unit (10). The aforementioned handling unit (30) comprises: a support (31) for guiding and supporting the sleeves, which is mounted in a second axis (Y) parallel to a sleeve-bearing core (51) belonging to a printing machine (50) and which can be aligned with the latter; and a holding tool (32) which is designed to hold a sleeve (2) and to move same along the second axis (Y) between a transfer position, in which the holding tool (32) interacts with the sleeve (2) on the sleeve-bearing core (51), and a transport position, in which the sleeve (2) that is held by the holding tool (32) is positioned on the support (31) and vice versa.</p>
