PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splicing structure which suppresses reflection in splicing a quartz fiber and a low melting non-quartz based optical fiber which are different in melting point and refractive index. SOLUTION: In the splicing structure of the quartz fiber and the non-quartz based fiber which are different in melting point and refractive index, a third fiber is inserted into the splicing point. This fiber is identical with the non-quartz based optical fiber in the core refractive index and the mold field diameter, and of reduces the reflection in the splicing point by being connected to the quartz fiber through TEC (Thermally-diffused Expanded Core) technology.
