PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a digital equalizer which has a control property similar to that of an analog equalizer by canceling a delay free loop. SOLUTION: In the digital equalizer, a parallel addition type filter 1 for cut and a parallel addition type filter 2 for boost are cascaded. Band pass filters 5a-5d for cut are corresponding to a plurality of band pass filters BPF 9a-9d, respectively and corresponding filters are defined as premise configurations. A direct input that is an output of a coefficient multiplier 21 which multiplies an input w<SB>n</SB>by a coefficientβ, is outputted to a feedforward path and an adder 25. A feedback path inputs a signal adding an output w<SB>2n</SB>of the band pass filters for cut that is an output of a subtracter 24c, and the output of the direct input as mentioned above in the adder 25.
