PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ballpoint pen ink composition excellent in such lubricity as to enable writing in light touch as the cases with water-based ballpoint pens and neutral ballpoint pens, and presenting such marked effects as to cause neither ink deterioration nor viscosity drop and be high in storage stability through preventing its hygroscopicity involved in conventional oily ballpoint pen ink to effect suppressing rust inside chip and on ball surface. SOLUTION: The oily ballpoint pen ink composition comprises an alcohol-soluble dye, an organic solvent selected from aromatic alcohols and/or polyhydric alcohols, a crosslinked acrylic acid resin and triethylamine, and also essentially contains 3-15 wt.% of a polyethylene glycol 1,800-15,000 in average molecular weight as a lubricant doubling as an antihygroscopic agent.
