PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid suction device of a liquid jet head and a liquid jet device that prevent the suction force from lowering during the suction of a liquid on a nozzle face by making the dischargeability of a liquid and the moisture retention property of a liquid consistent with each other, and secure the moisture retention property of the nozzle face when the nozzle face is left alone for many hours. SOLUTION: The liquid suction device has a body 80 having openings 210 and 211 facing the nozzle openings 55A to 55D of the nozzle face 61 and capable of sealing the nozzle face 61 by facing the openings 210 and 211 to the nozzle openings 55A to 55D, first absorbing materials 300 and 301 absorbing a liquid on the nozzle face 61 in the body 80, a second absorbing material 303 arranged in the body 80 and having a higher liquid moisture retention property than the moisture retention property of the first absorbing materials 300 and 301 for retaining the moisture of the liquid. The first absorbing materials 300 and 301 and the second absorbing material 303 are arranged in the plane direction facing the nozzle face 61, the first absorbing materials 300 and 301 are in the position corresponding to the nozzle openings 55A to 55D through the openings 210 and 211, and the second absorbing material 303 is covered by the body 80.
