PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermostat which maintains operation property of a conventional thermostat, has a larger capacity of current property than the conventional one, is lighter in weight and smaller in size, and can be installed easily as a small secondary battery protection item. SOLUTION: A terminal 1 and a terminal 2 for connecting to a thermostat from an external electrical circuit are insert molded at a base 3 and fixed. A movable plate 5 which is driven by a bimetal 4 and switches on and off electrical connection of the terminal 1 and the terminal 2 is provided between the terminal 1 and the terminal 2. The terminal 1 and the terminal 2 are insert molded by the base 3 and their outer periphery is coated and electrical insulation is applied. The movable plate 5 is fixed to the terminal 2 and is insulated by a cover 6 that is formed of the base 3 and an insulating member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
