PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a gap between a passenger who is sitting on a front seat and an audio equipment which is embedded in a central console while ensuring the collision safety of the passenger, and at the same time, to extend a cabin space ahead. SOLUTION: This air-conditioning unit 2 is arranged ahead of the front seat of the vehicle. An evaporator 13 is arranged below behind a blower 12, and at the same time, a heater core 14 is arranged below ahead of the blower 12. Also, the wall surface 10h of a main body cover 10 behind the evaporator 13 is formed into a crushable structure which is broken when an impact is applied, and absorbs the impact energy.
