POROUS IMAGING MATERIAL

A self-destructive porous imaging system having a base substrate, an optional barrier layer and a method for making the self-destructive porous imaging system is provided. The ink receptive layer is a two-part emulsion of polymeric spheres in a polymeric matrix or the ink receptive layer comprises substantially about 100 % wt. % cellulose nitrate, a printed image having enhanced ink capacity and reduced ink migration. The barrier layer between the base substrate and the ink receptive layer prevents the ink from bleeding into the paper base substrate.
