<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device and a commodity history inquiry system, capable of contributing to establishment of traceability of a material individual, in a commodity including a plurality of materials derived from a plurality of material individuals. <P>SOLUTION: An individual information management database 402 is stored with production history information HIn until running into partial meat 6 in each live cattle individual, and commodity data DGn generated when performing processing to good quality meat 8 while they are associated by an individual identification number. The commodity data DG generated in each the commodity are association data of a commodity CD, a commodity identification number, and a plurality of individual identification numbers related to a plurality of live cattle.
