<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a time and labor is required for performing the discovery of failures and the investigation/measures of failures in an environment where one or more task servers, network equipment and task applications exist, and that when the task servers, network equipment and applications cooperate with each other, it is necessary to log into each server network equipment, to confirm log information, to investigate the pertinent message contents, and to perform the examination of the measure information and the use and restoration of the supporting device. <P>SOLUTION: This failure monitor/restoration supporting device is configured to monitor the log information of a monitor object task servers, network equipment and applications, and to, when any failure is detected, extract the failure information including the related log information of the related task servers or applications. The output format of those logs is designated at the time of initialization, and message contents are unified.
