PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which can prevent a crushing wrinkle from being generated at power generating element housings 21a, 22a coating the end of a power generating element 1 largely by atmospheric pressure by forming oblique recesses 21d, 22d on end faces 21c, 22c of the power generating element housings 21a, 22a of aluminum lamination sheets 21, 22. SOLUTION: The battery includes the power generating element 1 in the power generating element housings 21a, 22a formed by swelling the aluminum lamination sheets 21, 22 in a rectangular shape. The oblique recesses 21d, 22d recessed in the direction of the power generating element 1 are formed on the end faces 21c, 22c of the power generating element housings 21a, 22a.
