PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous media fast reproduction technique that realizes faster reproduction while holding comprehension as much as possible so that a user can grasp contents in a short period of time and is not limited to audio and a moving picture, but applicable to other continuous media and composite media. SOLUTION: A continuous media data fast reproducing device comprises a means of dividing continuous media data into frame sections and calculating variation quantities of feature parameters in each of the frame sections, a means of reconstituting data by connecting only frames which are large in variation quantity of feature parameters, and a means of reproducing the connected reconstituted data.
