PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of preventing a collision between an objective lens and an optical disk by correcting a variance on the physical moving amount of the objective lens and the influence of vibration. SOLUTION: When disk playback is instructed to the disk device, a search voltage is applied to the driver of an objective lens (step 101), and then a difference is calculated in a standard value (TYP value) of an amplitude between an obtained focus error signal FE and an FE signal during device designing stored in a storage section (step 102). Then, a deviation amount is calculated from the standard value of an objective lens driving a gain based on the difference and a focus gain automatic adjusting value (step 103) stored in the storage section (step 104). Then, the search voltage of the standard value (TYP value) having a voltage range at a design value is corrected based on the gain deviation amount (step 105), and subsequently focus searching is executed (step 106).
