PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based powder mixture from which a high-strength sintered component can be obtained even without heat treatment after a sintering step because sintering is promoted even at a comparatively low sintering temperature. SOLUTION: This powder mixture comprises 100 pts. by mass of an iron-based mixed powder containing an alloy steel powder in which Ni and Mo are preliminarily alloyed with Ni powder, Cu powder and graphite powder; and 0.05-0.5 pts. by mass of a lubricant containing at least 10 mass% of at least one compound selected from among an organohalide, an organosulfur compound, an organophosphorus compound and an organometallic salt, as an extreme pressure agent.
