PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition having improved photoprotection ability. SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition is obtained by containing in a cosmetically permissible vehicle (i) a screening composition to be dissolved, which comprises at least one silicon derivative having a benzotriazole functional group, and (ii) a screening composition for dissolving, which comprises at least one cinnamic acid derivative and/or at least one salicylic acid derivative, wherein the screening (ii) composition for dissolving is sufficient amount to dissolve whole of the screening composition (i) to be dissolved.
