PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for wet development having excellent solvent resistance, and also to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photoreceptor layer including a binder resin, a charge generating agent, a charge transport agent, and a hole transport agent, in which the hole transport agent comprises an imine compound expressed by the general formula (1), (2), (3) or (4). In the general formula (1) and (2), A<SB>1</SB>and A<SB>2</SB>are respectively independent and are a substituted or non-substituted aryl group or amine structure, and X<SB>1</SB>is a substituted or non-substituted arylene group or polycyclic structure.
