GLYCINE LYASE, METHOD FOR MEASURING GLYCINE LYASE ACTIVITY AND METHOD FOR SCREENING CELL GROWTH INHIBITOR USING GLYCINE LYASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyglycine lyase (polyglycylase) adding a polyglycine to a tubulin which is a protein constituting a cell microtubule, to provide a method for measuring the activity of the enzyme and a method for screening a substance associated with the acceleration of cell growth or inhibition of the cell growth according to the polyglycine addition to the tubulin of the cell microtubule. SOLUTION: The polyglycylase for the tubulin comprises a polypeptide having the homology with a specific two kinds of amino acids sequences. The method for screening an accelerator of the cell growth or an inhibitor of the cell growth according to the polyglycine addition to the tubulin of the cell microtubule. The method for screening is characterized by comprising a step of adding the polyglycylase, a labeled glycine, a standard sample and a test substance and a step of detecting the acceleration or inhibition of the polyglycine addition reaction in the standard sample.
