<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently raise the temperature of a fuel cell, and to suppress its cost increase, in a temperature rasing method of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In this temperature raising method, the temperature of the fuel cell 11 to generate power by holding an electrolyte 15 between an anode 16 and a cathode 17 acting as a pair of electrodes is raised by supplying hydrogen to the anode 16 and supplying oxygen to the cathode 17, a proton is forcibly moved from the anode 16 to the cathode 17 by impressing a prescribed voltage Vd between the anode 16 and the cathode 17, the proton, oxygen, and an electron are combined in the cathode 17, and the temperature of the fuel cell 11 is raised by exothermic reaction caused when producing water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
